About Me:
In March 2023 I started as an advisor for an existing Jeep club and hosted Jeep related events once a month. Through that club I wasn’t able to host any fundraising or raffle events (against their policy) so I decided to start my own club with two other Jeep friends that we named the Miami Trail Queens. Being involved in my community is very important to me and I wanted a club that would allow me to work with charities and organizations. Between a Go Topless Day event in May 2023 and a Mural Run in July 2023 we were able to raise almost $2,000 for the nonprofit Jeeps for Heroes. Our next goal is $1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Seeing the impact we’ve been able to have on the community makes me want to plan bigger and better for the future. The Jeep community in Miami is huge and there are a lot of different clubs. All of our events are family friendly and I am focusing on bringing all of the different clubs and the community together.
Trail Ride on April 15, 2023
10 all-female Jeep owners took a trail ride in Miami.
Go Topless Day on May 20, 2023
A day of beach clean up, picnic and fundraising in Key Biscayne. The charity of choice was Jeeps For Heroes and our goal was $500. Our club raised $580 by selling $5 raffle tickets and Barricade Off-Road matched our donation with an additional $500. The event was sponsored by multiple companies that donated items like rock lights from Southern Lights Unlimited, clothing from JkClub Co., decals and duck plugs from The Duck Plug, $50 Heed Living gift card and an orchid arrangement from a local florist.
Summer Mural Run on July 15, 2023
30 Jeeps went for a mural run with 4 stops starting in Homestead and ending in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. This was another fundraising event for Jeeps for Heroes with $5 raffle tickets. We raised $870 overall and raffled off a winch from 4 Wheel Parts, rock lights from FCK Lightbars, a differential cover from Teraflex, headlights from Southern Lights Unlimited and more.
Jeeps, Brews and Boots on August 18, 2023
This event was hosted at a local brewery “Miami Brewing Company”. Our club voted for 4 different Show N Shine categories (best theme, best lights, most off-road ready and most duckable) and everyone at the brewery that night voted for Best in Show. Each winning Jeep was awarded with a backseat organizer from Suparee and a gift card from CR Designs. We had over 40 Jeeps at this event.
Trail Ride on September 23, 2023
12 Jeeps and 1 Hum-Vee took to the trails in Miami.
Upcoming Events on October 28, 2023 & November 4, 2023
Our next fundraiser is October 28 2023 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with a goal of $1,000. We are hosting a ‘trunk or treat’ with costume contests, decorated Jeep contests and $5 raffles. One of our founding members fought and beat Leukemia a few years ago so this organization has a special place in our hearts and we are passionate about raising as much money as we can. The following weekend on November 4 our club is walking in the ‘Light the Night’ event that is hosted by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Along with our families and friends we are working to raise more money in addition to the October 28 event to make our final donation at the Light the Night Walk.
